CHROMASCAPE 059

I made this chromascape on my way to a Nordic ski race Eirwen had in Leadville, CO. I set my camera up in the pre-dawn darkness on the bank of Dillon Reservoir which was covered in fresh snow and waited for the sunrise. It was 6° and perfectly still out. The sky began to glow and morph though a full palette of colors as the sun came up. Chromascape 59 is a Colorado bluebird sky with the day's first sunlight washing over the snow-capped mountains and richly colored earth below. ~ Marc
