RAINY MORNING ON THE SNODGRASS TRAIL
After dropping my youngest off at Western for her senior year, I headed up to Crested Butte for some hiking and Chromascapes. I made this image on the Snodgrass Trail overlooking the valley and into the mountains beyond. It was a wet and rainy morning which made all the colors super saturated. In the foreground are grasses of bright green and red, followed by the dark green forest climbing up Snodgrass Mountain. Both the peaks in the distance and sky are blue with the stormy skies. Even on days without perfect weather, Crested Butte is perfectly beautiful! This is Chromascape 124. ~ Marc
