CHROMASCAPE 126
THE OLD MILL ON THE DESCHUTES RIVER
I was in Bend for a week in March to watch my youngest race in the collegiate ski nationals at Mt. Bachelor. She was a competitive Nordic skier throughout college and this was her senior year and last races. I wouldn’t miss it for anything and I had a great time cheering her and the team on. After the each day’s races, I would go into town and explore Bend. This Chromascape was made on the Deschutes River near the Old Mill District. It is beautiful and cold winter evening. The twilight sky washes everything in a blue light as the river silently glides by. The grasses and trees on the river bank are rich with browns and yellows in their winter state. The lights from the shops and restaurants bring warmth and life into the scene. The lights on top of the Old Mill smokestacks can be seen on the top on the image. This is Chromascape 126. ~ Marc
