CHROMASCAPE 163
AFTERNOON CLOUDS ON BUZZARDS BAY
I made this image one afternoon in Falmouth, looking out over Buzzards Bay. A storm was building overhead, with clouds darkening the sky above. Yet near the horizon, the sun was not yet fully obscured by the storm clouds. There, it cast a brilliant pool of light on the bay that I abstracted into the bright streak across the water's edge. The muted, almost monochromatic tones and the structure of the scene drew me in. Chromascape 163 captures that contrast—storm above, light on the horizon—revealing another beautiful variation of this special place. ~ Marc
