Crested Butte / Gunnison, CO

All three of my kids graduated from Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado. I was fortunate to get to spend a little time in Crested Butte and around Gunnison while taking them to and from school. Some of the Chromascapes from this series capture the expansive colors of the beautiful landscape around the mountain town of Crested Butte. This includes my first numbered Chromascape - 001: Storm Over Mount Crested Butte. Experiencing the fall colors in CB should be on everyone’s bucket list. Back in Gunnison, there are images made at the airport and Hartman Rocks. A trip out to Blue Mesa Reservoir revealed a shoreline etched by ever decreasing water levels.
